ABOUT MICHAEL GODARD
Michael Godard is widely recognized as one of the most creative, best-selling and versatile artists of our time. His work is thought-provoking and full of enigmatic illusions of life surrounding us, featuring animated olives, grapes and dancing strawberries. His artwork constantly evolves, stemming from pain, love, conflict, and success. Godard uses his expansive imagination to illustrate a different perspective of human culture through whimsical images. Michael Godard has dedicated himself to philanthropic causes through his art. In 2006, his 16-year-old daughter passed away after a battle with brain cancer. Godard is passionate about raising money to help fight in the war against cancer. Godard works closely with the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation, St Jude, Make a Wish and Nevada Cancer Institute. “You’re not only buying something that is a work of art, but that money is going to save somebody’s life,” exclaims Sharon Osbourne.
Godard’s unique style of capturing the vices of life has brought him attention world-wide. He has recently appeared on numerous media outlets, including A&E’s Criss Angel’s Mind Freak & Biography Channel for Criss Angel. A documentary of Godard’s life featured at independent film festivals won him numerous awards and currently plays on all Princess Cruise ships. His book, “Don’t Drink and Draw,” the art of life of Michael Godard, received multiple awards including “Art Book of the Year.” “I believe drama happens to everyone, but I don’t feel sorry for myself,” Godard said. “I have to keep putting one foot in front of the other. It’s all about where to go next.”
