Appledale Road In Lower Providence Shut Down

Pennsylvania American Water Company will be installing a new water main along Appledale Road, from Sunnyside Avenue to S. Park Avenue, Lower Providence Township said in a press release.

The work began on November 4 and will continue into the spring of 2016.

This is to address frequent breaks in the existing line. During the construction period, the roadway will be closed during the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

However, provisions will be made for residents, school buses and emergency vehicles.

Following the waterline replacement, the roadway will receive trench and base restoration followed by a final wearing course next spring.
