Arcola Middle Schoolers Compete In Science Challenge At Dow Chemical

Middle schoolers from across Montgomery and Bucks counties competed in a recent science bowl challenge at Dow Chemical.

Middle school students from across Montgomery and Bucks counties participated in an academic bowl-style competition at Dow Chemical in Collegeville. The event served as a qualifier for the State Challenge at Penn State University on April 29.

The event, which was held on March 11, began with Montgomery County students playing rounds of Jeopardy-style Q&A, followed by Bucks County students taking on the same challenge, according to organizers.

The top four Montgomery County finalists from the event will compete at Penn State: Jeffrey Gong of Arcola Intermediate School came in first place, followed by Alexander Krosky of Wissahickon Middle School, Thomas Daly of Wissahickon Middle School, and Rearden Bentley of Wissahickon Middle School.
