NBC10 meteorologist Glenn 'Hurricane' Schwartz says to expect a snowy and cold season.

Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz may be trading in his signature bowtie for a warm scarf this winter.

That’s if his long-range winter forecast pans out as expected. Schwartz, NBC10’s meteorologist and the weather guy everyone in Philly recognizes, has released his 18th annual Winter Outlook forecast. These two words sum it up: snowy and cold.

“It looks like another extreme winter is in store—on the high side for snow again,” Schwartz predicts.

“There just don’t seem to be ANY indications of a mild winter with little snow. Things can and do change in the atmosphere and oceans, so this isn’t set in stone, but it’s about the odds. And, as of now, the odds favor a snowy and cold winter,” Schwartz said.
