Beam Falls At Collegeville Construction Site, Multiple Injuries Reported

Breaking: At least one person has been injured after a beam fell at a construction site in Collegeville Thursday.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — A beam fell at a construction site in Collegeville on Thursday and multiple individuals were injured, according to authorities and media reports.

The incident occurred at around 11:39 a.m. near the Ursinus College campus, at the corner of Main Campus Drive and East 5th Avenue, according to Montgomery County PA Active Incidents.

The Trappe Fire Company Ambulance responded to the scene for a technical rescue, authorities said. Medical helicopters were also on the scene to transport victims to care, according to MontCo Fire Wire.

6ABC reports that crews rescued one victim from a high place and transported him down the ladder.

The extent of the victims injuries are not yet clear.
