Bed Bug Infestation Spurs Change To Lower Providence Trash

J.P. Mascaro is looking to protect its employees following recent bed bug infestations, the township said.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — J.P. Mascaro is looking to protect its employees following recent bed bug infestations, spurring a change in how Lower Providence collects its trash.

All mattresses and box springs must now be wrapped in plastic before collection, the township said.

Recent infestations have spread from mattresses to employees as they make curbside pickups.
