Butterfly Release at Chesterbrook Academy in Audubon

The children of Chesterbrook Academy release butterflies!

On Monday, May 20th, the children of Chesterbrook Academy in Audubon released butterflies they've been caring for in the classrooms!

Throughout a period of several weeks, the children of Chesterbrook Academy have been learning about and observing the life cycle of butterflies.

Each classroom got 5 little caterpillars at the end of April, and watched as they ate, grew, cacooned and turned into the butterflies released on Monday. The children read books, discussed, and explored arts and crafts relating to each stage of the butterflies' life cycle as appropriate to their age levels.
