Lower Providence Township Supervisors & Planning Commission: Please consider alternate location(s) for proposed YMCA
A petition telling the Lower Providence Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission to reject the proposed building site of the YMCA and choose a different location within the township
The residents of Lower Providence have voiced their opinions several times that they are for the YMCA but against the proposed location for the building of the YMCA and highly value what little open space we have left in our growing and expanding township. We need to understand that their are better alternate places to locate the building that are already vacant and ready for development and that would be more suitable for the creation of the YMCA that would save the golf course which is not only an easily accessible convenient recreation place to play while being the only golf course in the township but also brings income into the township and community that relieves a burden on the taxpayers. Residents opinions on issues should and ought to be the first thing that is considered on any matter and making residents lives harder everyday and destroying the character of where they live is just appalling and devastating to the community, its history/heritage, and the very people that for generations have been loyal to their roots and where they live.
