Wedding Professional? Why Go Pro?

Let's face it, the economy still seems to be in dire straits, and everyone is cutting corners wherever they can.  It's definitely tempting to DIY everything you can, even when it comes to your wedding day.  You want to save as much money as you can, right?   

Personally, I have a saying: save on things that don't matter, but if it's a big deal, that's where you put your money.  If I use something every day, I will spend more on it to make sure it's quality.  If it really matters to me, I'll spend on it.

Weddings are the same way; it's always a good idea to know what really matters to you, and what you and your guests are likely to forget about.

Reasons to use a professional are as varied as couples.  I see plenty of posts in wedding forums about getting a friend or relative ordained so that he or she can perform the ceremony.  Before you do, ask yourself (and that person!) a few questions about what they are genuinely able to do .  A professional can offer skills and talents that Uncle Joe might not.  Consider:
