Week of the Young Child at Chesterbrook Academy in Audubon!
The third week of April was all about the Week of the Young Child at Chesterbrook Academy in Audubon!
All week long, the students were engaged in age appropriate fun activities on top of the educational curriculum used in the preschool!
For Carnival Day, the students rotated in stations around the school building, and took part in activities such as: cupcake decorating, art and [temporary] tattoos, decorating and painting bird houses, and a dance and parachut activity center!

On Field Day, the children got to experience silly races through inflatable obstacle courses, and such games as bean toss and spoon races! Games of kick ball and catch were played outside, and the children enjoyed nature walks!
On Earth Day, the school had a special Lady Bugs Release event! The children and teachers all gathered outside to release Lady Bugs onto the nearby bushes and trees. The children watched the Lady Bugs walk, fly, and even crawl on the children's little hands! Afterwards, the students talked about our Earth, and the importance of keeping it clean and safe.
