Bridge Inspections To Restrict Lower Providence Road Next Week

PennDOT said bridge inspections in the area will affect a Lower Providence road next week.

On Wednesday, Feb. 15 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Egypt Road between Pinetown and New Mill road in the township will have a closure in its right lane, PennDOT said.

The scheduled travel restriction are subject to change due to weather, emergency, and traffic considerations.

The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years, PennDOT said.

Motorists traveling in the area should plan for extra travel time and consider alternate routes. Those traveling through the area should reduce speed when in work zones.
