Second Chance Wheels: Chester County Rallies for the 3rd Annual Bicycle Recycling Event
East Whiteland, PA — This spring, something as simple as a bike can open a door. On Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., neighbors across the region are invited to turn unused bicycles into life-changing opportunities at Valley Creek Park.
Hosted by the Transportation Management Association of Chester County in partnership with Bike Chester County, this Community Bike Donation Drive keeps bikes out of landfills and puts them back into the hands of those who need them most.
Have a gently used bike collecting dust in your garage, shed, or basement? Donate young adult and adult bikes and give them a second chance. Each one will be refurbished and redistributed to individuals who rely on affordable transportation to reach work, school, food, and essential services.
For three years TMACC and Bike Chester County have held this event to celebrate May's Bike Month with purpose and heart.
Load up your car, meet the volunteers, and be part of something meaningful. Big ask: Share this event with friends, neighbors, and family and help keep the wheels of opportunity turning.

<a href="https://www.audubon.org/conservation/climate-watch" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Climate Watch</a> is an important community science project started by the National Audubon Society to understand how birds are reacting to climate change and to test our climate models.
If you can devote approximately 3-4 hours to collecting data on the day of your choice between May 15 – June 15, this training is for you!
During the training, you’ll learn how to identify species such as the White-breasted Nuthatch, Eastern Bluebirds, and the Eastern Towhee, and will be taught the Climate Watch methodologies you’ll need to use for data collection and to report your findings. You’ll also be able to choose your Climate Watch location(s) from the map we’ll provide.Registration Required.
