Community Rallies Behind Montco Kindergartner With Cancer
Kindergartner Dylan Spriggs has an aggressive, inoperable brain tumor. But he's not giving up. And neither are his supporters.

POTTSTOWN, PA -- Kindergartener Dylan Spriggs has an aggressive, inoperable brain tumor. But he's not giving up. And neither are his supporters.
The Owen J. Roberts School District recently held a rally for Dylan, the Pottstown Mercury reports, gathering together students from across the district in a demonstration of support.
Dylan, who is enrolled in the kindergarten program at East Coventry Elementary, was diagnosed on December 30 with DIPG, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.

Since then, more than 500 people have contributed nearly $38,000 to the cause of his medical bills, recovery, and continued well-being.
Dylan has been described by his family and friends as upbeat, fun-loving, and a big fan of dinosaurs.

The Owen J. Roberts School District is also gathering donations to help offset the cost of treatment, and to support the family. A bingo event will be held on March 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Spring City Legion on 25 N. Main St. in Spring City. Prizes include a tablet, gift cards, Phillies tickets, and baskets from Chickie's and Pete's.
