Dave Portnoy's 'One Bite' Review For Montco Pizzeria Unveiled: See Score

The local pizzeria's score was finally unveiled on Tuesday in an 11 minute video.

TRAPPE, PA — At long last, Dave Portnoy's "One Bite" review for Italian Delite Restaurant in Trappe is in, and it's pretty good news for the local establishment.

A nearly 11 minute video posted this week following the Aug. 7 visit resulted in a score of 7.4

"It's actually pretty good," the Barstool Sports founder said outside the shop. "Good traditional football pizza."

The average One Bite pizza earns about a 6.8, so 7.4 is clearly in the above average range.

That's despite a seeming struggle to order the actual pie after a confusion with store employees, delays which led Portnoy to briefly become upset and call it a "Mickey Mouse operation."

Italian Delite had run a social media campaign for the better part of a year attempting to get Portnoy's attention. A sign stood in front of the store for a year calling for him to come. At first Portnoy also appeared upset that the sign had been taken down, but when he learned how long it had been up, he changed his attitude.

He also seemed much ameliorated after speaking with the owner, Giuseppe Tosco.

"If you post videos making a pizza , if you put signs out for me to come, I will get there," Portnoy added.

Tosco explained that the sign had been up until about 3 months ago when it was moved due to renovations.

"Now I feel bad," Portnoy said.

Portnoy visited four other Philadelphia area shops this month in addition to Italian Delite. At least three of them were rated well: Johnny's Pizza in Bryn Mawr (scored 8.3), Liguria Pizzeria in Kensington (8.2), Marina's Pizza in Fishtown (7.9), and Pizza Di Vita in Fairless Hills (score not yet released).
