If motorists choose the wrong ramp on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, they are charged for 400 miles of tolls by EZ-Pass, according to a report.

EZ-Pass has collected about $300,000 in the last two weeks from motorists who used the wrong Pennsylvania Turnpike exit, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Drivers are charged so much for the toll because the fees are based on an exit 400 miles away near the border with Ohio, the report states.
The online complaint logs for the Better Business Bureau and ConsumerAffairs.com are filled with reports from motorists who have been charged similarly large sums for small mistakes.
