Join the camp and learn useful outdoor skills taught by an Eagle Scout and former teacher naturalist at the Outdoor School in Horsham. Any student with an interest in nature and outdoor activities like camping or hiking, or any student who simply wants to lean cool stuff not taught in school should come to this adventure camp. Some of the skills students will learn include: basic wilderness survival, basic first aid, proper hiking and backpacking techniques, animal tracking, plant identification, knots and lashings, and emergency weather safety. Students will have their wits tested with (safe) survival situations, so students will have to develop their teamwork skills as well. It will be a fun, educational program that will make your student want to spend some more time outdoors during their summer vacation.

The Methacton Community Education Summer Camp Brochure and registration form can be downloaded from the Methacton School District’s website at www.methacton.org.  For more information, please email Kathy Kifer at kkifer@methacton.org.

Methacton School District’s Community Education program is under the auspices of the Methacton School District, is self-supporting, and is a not-for-profit organization.
