Father and Son Duo Assault Man, Steal Phone for Drug Debt, Police Say
Derrick Clay, 42, of Norristown, along with his son, Anthony, 22, and an unidentified woman, allegedly threw a Lower Providence man down a flight of stairs and stole his fiancee's phone.

A father-and-son duo from Norristown were arrested after they allegedly broke into a Lower Providence man's apartment, threw him down a flight of stairs, and stole his fiance's phone to settle a drug debt.
According to the Pottstown Mercury, Derrick Clay, 42, of Norristown, along with his son, Anthony, 22, and an unidentified woman, broke into an apartment on the 3400 block of Germantown Pike on April 28 to confront the man about a $100 drug debt. When informed that the man could not pay, the elder Clay reportedly threw the man down the stairs, before embarking on a search for "collateral."
They then stole the fiancee's phone, according to the report.

Both the father and son were charged with felony burglary, robbery and conspiracy, along with additional misdemeanor and related charges, according to Top News Today. They were remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $25,000 bail.
