Firefighters Battle Christmas Day Fire At Lower Providence Home

First responders were busy on Christmas Day, containing a blaze at a local home.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — First responders were busy on Christmas Day, containing a blaze at a home in Lower Providence.

The incident occurred at around 3 p.m. at a home on Pheasant Run Road.

The blaze began in the garage of the home, with smoke showing from the eves of the home and the garage when crews arrived on the scene.

Lower Providence Fire Department was joined by crews from several surrounding municipalities in knocking back the flames and searching for hot spots throughout the property.

Fortunately, the fire was contained to the garage and damage to the rest of the house was limited.

The township fire marshal is investigating the cause.

Lower Providence EMS, Black Rock Fire Co., Jefferson Fire Company No. 1, Norriton Fire Engine Company, Norristown Fire Department, Collegeville Fire Company, and Worcester Volunteer Fire Department all joined Lower Providence Fire on the scene.

No injuries were reported.
