House Catches Fire In Lower Providence: Officials

Crews were greeted by smoke coming out of the second story window when they arrived on the scene of a Lower Providence house fire Friday.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA -- A home caught fire in Lower Providence early Monday evening, fire officials said.

The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. on Brimfield Road.

When crews arrived smoke was boiling from a window on the second floor, according to officials.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes, and were clear of the scene by 7:30 p.m.

There were no injuries reported and no one was inside the home at the time of fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The extent of the damage to the home is not yet clear

Lower Providence Fire Department was joined by Jefferson Fire Company, Collegeville Fire Company, and Fairmount Engine Company of Norristown on the scene.
