In Lower Providence: What Will Happen to Your Taxes Next Year?
The Board of Supervisors voted on the 2014 budget last week.

For the first time in 10 years, taxes in Lower Providence are going up.
The Board of Supervisors met Thursday night, and by a 4-to-1 vote agreed to raise township taxes, The Times Herald reported.
The millage rate for debt service will increase by 0.17 mills; the millage rate for the library will increase by 0.08 mills, The Times Herald said.

For the average home in the township, assessed at $167,037, that would mean a tax increase of $41.76, The Times Herald said.
