Montco SAAC honored Karen Conicelli for her long time service to their Meals on Wheels Program. Ms. Conicelli has delivered meals to the homebound elderly for 11 years. The program sends two meals a day, one hot and one cold, to 130 individuals in the greater Norristown Area.
Ms. Conicelli and other drivers, also provide a friendly visit and a wellness check to this fragile population. “Without the help of volunteers like Karen, the program could not continue,” said Jean Hjorth, Program Coordinator, “and the mission is so important. It is often the deciding factor in the choice between home and a nursing home.”
Also honored were Geraldine Coffield, Iana Thomas, Winnie Kreamer, Barbara Kelly, x Marea Pollard and Philamema Vasta.
