Lower Providence Readies For Tree Lighting, Winter Wonderland

The 11th annual tree lighting and winter wonderland event is coming up.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — The holiday season is rapidly approaching in Lower Providence.

The township's 11th annual tree lighting and winter wonderland celebration will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 at the township complex.

The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. The Arcola Intermediate School select chorus will perform holiday songs, and guests can also participate in "Reindeer Carnival Games" to win prizes.

Furthermore, there will be meet and greets with holiday characters, hot chocolate and cookies, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6:30 p.m.

Lower Providence also has their own magical elf; he needs a name and the public can help out with ideas.

The event is free, but bring a canned good for the township's Caring and Sharing program, or donate coats and gloves to Feel the Warmth.

The township complex is located on 100 Parklane Drive in Eagleville.
