Police are urging precaution from local residents after the man was spotted in a development in town this week.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — Police issued a warning to the public this week after a man was spotted walking through a Collegeville development checking for unlocked doors on vehicles.

Multiple reports of the man were received by Collegeville Police on Tuesday, and he was eventually captured on security footage in the Collegeville Glen development.

He was later spotted checking vehicles along Clahor Avenue.

"We would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicles during the night," police said.

Any suspicious activity should be reported by calling 911.
