Methacton Gets $6K Donation From Bank For STEM Programs

The $6,000 donation for Methacton's STEM programs comes from Ambler Savings Bank.

Methacton School District has received a $6,000 donation from Ambler Savings Bank to improve their STEM education program.

The donation was received recently by fourth graders at Worcester Elementary School. Donors were inspired after a recent visit to the school where students were learning coding with robots and about circuitry.

"Supporting the District’s STEM initiative at the elementary level teaches students the tools they need to be successful in whatever the future holds for them," Erin Cohen, vice president at Ambler Savings Bank, said in a statement. "These students are our future business leaders. We know the future of banking, and most other industries, is digital technology. Methacton graduates, because of STEM programming, will be ready to take on the business world, and will continue to change it in big ways."
