Montco Man Sentenced To Prison In Hit-And-Run That Left Woman Dead

SKIPPACK, PA — A Montgomery County man has been sentenced to prison after running over and killing a 62-year-old woman in 2022 and then fleeing the scene.

Jesse Austin Neou, 28, of the Harleysville section of Skippack Township, will spend the next three to six years behind bars, a judge ruled this week.

The incident occurred on Feb. 21, 2022 on the 3900 block of Ashland Drive in Skippack.

Neou did not offer help or stop, and fled the area, according to police.

At around 11 a.m. the morning of February accident, state troopers went to neighboring Bucks County to speak with Neou at his workplace in Richland Township, at which time they noticed what appeared to be human hair stuck in the undercarriage of the vehicle, according to a criminal complaint.

When first confronted, Neou told police he didn't know anything, authorities said.

He remained booked in Montgomery County Correctional Facility throughout the length of his trial.
