Montco SAAC offers Memory Screening

Are you concerned about your memory?  Many people are as they get older.

Tuesday, November 19, 2013 is Memory Screening Day and Montco SAAC in Norristown will be will be offering free, confidential memory screenings and information about successful aging. It’s a first step toward proper diagnosis and treatment—and the care you might need.

Some memory problems can be readily treated, such as those caused by vitamin deficiencies or thyroid problems. Other memory problems might result from causes that are not currently reversible, such as Alzheimer’s disease. In general, the earlier the diagnosis, the easier it is to treat one of these conditions.

Screenings will be offered November 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at 536 George Street, Norristown. For further information call 610-275-1960.  National Memory Screening Day is an initiative of the Alzheimer’s foundation of America.
