An accident on a Montgomery County carnival ride over the weekend led to multiple injuries.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — State inspectors and local officials are investigating after an accident during a carnival ride in Montgomery County left multiple individuals with minor injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday, June 4 at the Lower Providence Fire Department Fair, a popular annual community celebration and fundraising event for the last 74 years.

It's not yet clear exactly what led to the accident, which involved a ride supplied by Tons of Fun Shows, the fair's vendor. Officials said that the nature of the accident involved "fencing issues" when part of the ride became tangled with the surrounding fence.
