Overnight Fire Extinguished At SCI Phoenix
A fire started in a laundry facility at SCI Phoenix in Montgomery County early Thursday morning.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A overnight fire was battled at SCI Phoenix in Skippack Township early Thursday.
The incident occurred at 1:22 a.m. at a laundry facility within the prison, officials said.
Volunteer fire crews from several surrounding municipalities responded to the scene, and spent around three hours battling the blaze and securing the scene.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear. No injuries were reported.
Skippack Fire Company and Perkiomen Fire Company were among the stations to respond to the scene.
