Parks On Tap To Expand To Oaks, 4 Other Montco Locations

Philly's popular beer garden is coming down the Schuylkill. Local craft beers by the river, free bike sharing and kayaking, food, and more.

OAKS, PA — Parks on Tap, Philly's popular traveling beer garden, will be coming to several Schuylkill River towns this summer, including Oaks.

Launched in Philadelphia in 2016, Parks on Tap typically sets up for a few days at a new park in a new section of the city each week, for about 23 weeks from April to September. A portion of all proceeds from the event goes back to the parks.

Thanks to the Schuylkill River Greenways, this event will now be held for six weeks in five different locations along the Schuylkill River Trail:

  • June 26-30 Pottstown Riverfront Park
  • July 3-7 Valley Forge National Historical Park, Betzwood
  • July 10-14 Valley Forge National Historical Park, Betzwood
  • July 17-21 Royersford Riverfront Park
  • July 24-28 Oaks PA Philly Expo Center waterfront
  • August 1-4 Norristown Riverfront Park

In addition to local craft beers, Parks on Tap offers food, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in a family friendly environment. The set-up will include various comfortable chairs, hammocks, and restrooms.

In addition, free bike sharing and kayaking will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays by Schuylkill River Greenways.
