Part of Route 422 Closing Next Week In Lower Providence
PennDOT crews will be conducting bridge inspections, causing a lane closure on the highway.

PennDOT announced travel restrictions on U.S. Route 422 in Lower Providence Township next week due to bridge inspections.
According to PennDOT, the left lane of Route 422 West will be closed on Thursday March 9.
PennDOT said the closure will be in effect from 9 a.m. to noon at the Trooper Road/state Route 363 interchange.

Crew will be conducting bridge inspections as part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
The work schedule is weather dependent, PennDOT said.
