Passerby Alerts Residents To House Fire In Lower Providence
Several dogs and other pets were taken safely from the home before the blaze caused heavy damage to the residence.

A Level Road home was heavily damaged in a Sunday afternoon fire, but luckily a passing driver saw the flames and helped the residents get out safely, according to Lower Providence Township.
The driver was passing by the home and saw fire on the exterior roof line of the home.
The good samaritan then alerted the residents to the fire and called 911, the township said.

The residents were able to safely get several dogs and other pets from the home before the blaze caused extensive damage to the home.
Responding fire companies included Lower Providence, Collegeville, Skippack, Jefferson, Trappe, Black Rock, Norristown, Norriton, and King of Prussia, the township said.

EMS units from Lower Providence and Royersford Goodwill also responded, according to the township.
The Lower Providence Township Fire Marshal’s office, with the assistance of Montgomery County Detectives, resumed its investigation of the fire Monday morning, the township said.
