Roving DUI Patrols Planned In Lower Providence Area: Cops

Lower Providence police will conduct sobriety checkpoints and DUI patrols throughout the township on Friday.

Roving DUI patrols are planned throughout Lower Providence Township on Friday, St. Patrick's Day, police confirmed.

"It doesn't take much to be over the legal limit so use a driving service or a designated driver," police said in a statement.

Across Pennsylvania, there were 53 alcohol-related crashes on St. Patrick’s Day last year – and 1,210 crashes in which 13 people died on the weekends before and after the holiday, according to preliminary data from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
