Serial Car Thief Arrested In Lower Providence: Cops
A man suspected of stealing items from numerous vehicles around the Lower Providence area has been arrested, police said.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — A man suspected of stealing items from numerous vehicles around the Lower Providence area has been arrested, police announced Saturday afternoon.
Jason William Fielding, 24, of the 2800 block of Village Green Drive in Lower Providence, faces theft from motor vehicle and numerous related charges in connection with the incidents.
The thefts occurred between May 12 and Aug. 9, police said.

Authorities on patrol on the morning of Aug. 9 saw Fielding walking along Long Meadow Lane, police said.
He must have appeared suspicious, because police stopped Fielding and investigated him. They discovered he was carrying with him numerous items stolen from cars in the area. A search of his home revealed several other stolen items, police said.

He was arraigned on Aug. 24 and bail was set at ten percent of $10,000. He was remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
