State police performed visual seat belt checks on U.S. 422 in Phoenixville today, according to eyewitness accounts and reports on social media.
The checks were happening on the hill between Route 29 and Oaks, according to a post on the Facebook page 422 Sucks.
Residents expressed dismay at the enforcement.

“What a waste of taxpayer dollars,” said local Brittany Dougherty.
