Trash Removal Will Close Lanes, Slow Traffic On 422 In Lower Providence

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA -- Trash removal will lead to lane closures and additional traffic on Route 422 in Upper and Lower Providence townships this week, officials said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will intermittently close the left lane of westbound U.S. 422 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Closures will continue until 3 p.m., and will be in effect 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday as well.

Closures will affect 422 between the Trooper Road and Township Line Road interchanges, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and to allow extra time when traveling through these work zones.
