Verdict Issued On Montco Teen Accused Of Raping Girl At Party

The local teenager had been accused of raping a girl while she was drunk and asleep at a party.

TOWAMENCIN, PA -- A 18-year-old man charged with raping a woman who passed out at a party in Towamencin Township in March has been acquitted, according to Montgomery County Court News.

Kevin Michael Pondexter was arrested on Thursday for felony rape and related charges in June, The Reporter said.

The victim told police that she went to a party hosted by a high school friend on March 27, reports, and became intoxicated, eventually passing out in the basement.

A friend checked in on the victim several times as the night wore on to make sure she was okay, according to the report.

Sometime between 2:30 and 3 a.m., according to the woman’s friend, she saw Pondexter on top of the woman with his pants down, the report said.

The woman was still passed out, according to the report.

The friend screamed at Pondexter, who got off of the woman, and the woman woke up and began crying, the report stated.

Friends escorted the woman home, the report stated.

Pondexter later admitted during questioning that he raped the woman while she was too drunk to know what was happening to her, according to the report.

He was arrested on Thursday when charges were filed and sent to Montgomery County Correctional Facility, the report stated.

Pondexter also faces two drug related charges after officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car on May 28 near North Penn High School, according to the report.
