Happy Labor Day! We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the holiday than to enjoy the delicious local food that our farmers and food artisans labor so hard to make for us. The weather will be beautiful and we hope you will linger at the market to enjoy the music and visit with neighbors and market friends as we savor the last days of summer.

This week you’ll see the return of fall greens along with the summer vegetables- so many options for veggie dishes! We’ll also have great meats for the grill- bison, beef, pork, veal, salmon and chicken. Our food artisans have been baking peach pies and farmers’ market scones, freezing gelato and sorbetto, crafting thirst quenching kombucha, grinding nut butters and much more. If you are hosting a celebration, picking up a few of our handcrafted items can ease your workload, plus they are so yummy!

Back to school marks the changing of the seasons and this week you’ll see a little change at the market too. We are relocating the food trucks to relieve congestion along Mill Street. Don’t worry, they will still be here!!

They also address the parking situation:

We know that parking can be a little tight at the market and want to remind you that there are some additional options to the municipal lot nearest the market. There is free parking in the lot on the far side of the Borough Hall at 351 Bridge Street. It is a very pleasant walk along the trail from the lot to the market. The Borough has a second municipal, accessed from the corner of Main Street and Taylor Alley , that is also close to the market.
