Air Quality Alert Issued for Friday, July 22

The National Weather Service issued an air quality alert for today.

Late Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ issued an air quality alert for today, July 22.

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission issued a code orange air quality alert today for the Philadelphia metro area.

According to the alert, a code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups, according to the alert. Those in sensitive groups include children; people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases; and the elderly.
