Burglar Nabbed After Hitting Feasterville Laundromat 3 Times: PD

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 37-year-old Philadelphia man is in custody and being charged with two burglaries at the same business at the same time, police said.

The Lower Southampton Township Police Department have charged Stanley Petroski, 37 of Philadelphia, with the two burglaries at the Feasterville Laundromat at 709 Bustleton Pike.

Police said that on 2:15 a.m. Sept. 17 video surveillance captured Petroski forcing entry into the rear room of the laundromat where he used a metal cutting tool and gained entry into a change machine and stole $3,500.

Police said before gaining entry into the rear room, he spray-painted the video camera lenses in an attempt to hide his identity.

Then, at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Petroski returned to clean the video surveillance camera lenses which captured him again.

Police said he again forced entry into the rear room where he damaged a second change machine and allegedly stole another $4,000.

During the investigations, police discovered that Petroski was arrested in 2022 for burglarizing the same laundromat in Feasterville where he actually took the whole Bill to Bill Exchanger.

Petroski was located in the parking lot of CVS in Feasterville where he was stopped on Sunday after police received a tip at 9:08 a.m. walking east along East Street Road.

He was charged with two counts each of Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Theft, Receiving stolen Property, Possessing Instrument of Crime and Criminal Mischief.

As police attempted to take him into custody, a scuffle ensued and Petroski grabbed the police officer's holstered handgun in an attempt to disarm the officer.

The officer's training and experience prevented Petroski from removing the gun from the holster, preventing a more serious situation, police.

Petroski was then taken into custody, and additional charges were filed for attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Petroski was arraigned on the burglary warrants along with the new Charges. Bail was set and he was subsequently remanded into the Bucks County Correctional Facility where he will await his court date.
