Business Connecting at it's Finest

because it's core group of members have stayed and invested their time and effort into the group because it works. Many have been attending the meetings regularly for 12 years or more.

Every business needs them. Big business or small. They are the lifeline of every company regardless of their industry. What am I talking about? Qualified referrals of course! Who needs them to survive the most? How about your dentist, your family eye doctor, your hair stylist or your favorite local lunch spot?

What makes a referral qualified? Simply, someone who needs your product or service and is expecting to do business with you.

Many businesses pay good money to advertise, and even more to get their customers to refer them to their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Smart business people will even offer contests, awards, gifts and incentives to their current customer base to have them "send people our way."

Even more so, small businesses in our area join groups of like minded business owners in the hopes that they will be able to do business together, make a connection and refer each other some new customers.

While there are many groups out there like the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, Trade Groups and many more, there are not many like LeTip of Lower Bucks County.

LeTip of Lower Bucks County has been meeting weekly since August of 1996 and the group is about to celebrate it's sweet sixteenth birthday!

What makes the group unique is that they only allow one representative from each type of business, and then they encourage the members to promote each other's businesses. Essentially, new members who join immediately have a new sales force of over 50 people, the other members who want to refer them business.  What do they ask for in return? Just that you refer them new business when the opportunity presents itself.

Many members have what we call "Power Partners" for example, two businesses who are similar but can refer each other business on a regular basis, like a florist and a caterer, or a CPA and a payroll company. These business compliment each other.

There are many groups such as this one, and LeTip even has competing chapters out there, but Lower Bucks has been a leader in this area for so long because it's core group of members have stayed and invested their time and effort into the group-because it works. Many members have been attending the meetings regularly for 12 years or more. Myself since December 1998! Our chapter stands alone successfully in spite of the naysayers out there.

So what's in it for you? Letip of Lower Bucks is currently looking for small businesses in the area who would like to increase their own business. Would you like to attend one of our breakfast meetings and see for yourself? The first meeting is free for qualified guests. The meetings are held weekly, at 7 AM at Twining Hall in Trevose. For more information or to reserve a seat at our next meeting please give me a call at 215-355-2121.
