Do your children lie to you?
Do you read your kids' text messages? Their diaries? Their emails?
They didn't have any toothpaste in their bathroom. How could they have brushed their teeth? My children flat out lied to me. I asked "Did you brush your teeth?" and they look at me and say "Yes."
Now, this is disturbing to me. It is a small white lie but could it be the foundation for more lies? We have replayed this scenario several times in our house and I understand the whole being a kid/ don't want to brush/ tell mom a lie situation but it doesn't mean I like it.
This doesn't stop at hygeine.

Do you trust your kids and do you trust them with their lives? Some parents will read their kids' text messages- their diaries- their emails. I get my daughters facebook updates on my email. I feel better about having some sort of knowledge about her online activity. I'm not ready to let her make all the decisions yet.
