Land of the Free Hand Outs and Home of the Brave
Our country has a deficit, our township has a deficit and our school district has a deficit. How much more of a pinch do I have to feel to keep my household out of a deficit?

Once again I was almost run over by the speeding mom in her Lexus trying to get her daughter to the bus stop. She lives in another township and uses a grandmother’s address to send her daughter to Neshaminy School District. It burns me up to see her flying down the hill without a concern for the children in the street nor concerns for the taxpayers in this community paying for her daughter’s education.
I am not a political person but I am a mother who is feeling a pinch right now. A pinch from every direction. Government spending is a mess. Taxes are stretched to the limit. Our country is known as the land of the free and home of the brave. But now seems to take from the countrymen to support loopholes in the system. I am perplexed how this happened and would never consider acting on such loopholes. I have to find a way to make more money now because of all these financial pinches and it is eating me up.
This middle class mother pays taxes to support vast government activities. I do not know where that money goes. I much prefer that I get to keep my money and contribute it locally so that I know where it is going. Our country has a deficit, our township has a deficit and our school district has a deficit. I wonder much of the raised funds get wasted? How much more of a pinch do I have to feel so that I can keep a healthy lifestyle and keep my household out of a deficit? I’m not driving a brand new Lexus so that I can allocate my household resources to other needs.

Congratulations to all the hardworking people who work for their money and have financial morals. Congratulations to the people who use the welfare system when needed and take just what they need. And congratulations to the taxpayers for supporting a township and a country in need. This mother appreciates you.
