Rain Continues To Pound Area - Pine Tree Farms hit again with floods!

Flooded waters crested Hill Top creek at approximately 4:30 am.

Areas struggling to recover from last month's tropical storm are preparing for the potential of renewed flooding for the next several days. Once again, several areas of Pine Tree Farms have been flooded due to the recent rain storms. While several areas of the creek have been cleaned out of debris by the Lower Southampton Township Road crew, the creek can not handle the massive water flow.

Last night, the creek on Hill Top Road crested at approximately 4:30 a.m.  Hill Top Road is one of many roads within the Pine Tree Farms that becomes flooded. Several years ago, there was a rumor going thru the area, that the bridge on Hill Top Road was going to be upgraded from two small pipes to one large pipe running under the bridge, to help the water flow pass through. Flooding will continue through out the morning hours, and a flash flood has been extended for our area.

FEMA will be adopting a new flood map around November 2012.  Several flood zones have changed, and some new areas have been added.  Please check the new flood map to see if your area is now in one of these flood zones.
