Child Care Services Available During Neshaminy Strike
There are various places offering child care during the Neshaminy teachers strike.

With the plenty of parents with young children may be looking for child care while they are at work. Several businesses have offered child care and day camps during the strike as well as the Neshaminy Kids Club.
The will be offering childcare for elementary age children from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. for $30 per day or $125 for the week, which includes lunch. Parents may start bringing their children Monday, but allow five to 10 minutes to fill out an emergency contact form. For more information call 215-322-1245.

The Neshaminy Kids Club will be offering partial or full-day child care at most of the Neshaminy elementary schools. Full-day child care is from 7:15 a.m. until 6 p.m. and $25 per child. Partial care is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is $20 per child. For families that have more than one child, the second child is $15 and the third child is free. Parents need to provide a bagged lunch for their children, but Neshaminy Kids Club can provide juice or milk and two snacks.
This service will be available at all elementary schools except for Albert Schweitzer Elementary and Walter Miller Elementary. Students in need of day care that attend Schweitzer should report to Pearl S. Buck Elementary and students from Walter Miller that need care should report to Samuel Everitt Elementary. Parents will need to bring a credit card or check on the first day and fill out a registration form for emergency contact information. For more information call 215-757-2554.

The is offering Kids Play Days during the Neshaminy School District teacher's strike, No registration is necessary to attend the play days, which are for children ages 5 to 12. The play days are open to the public; you do not need to be a member to attend.
Children can attend a full day or partial day. The full day goes from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The partial day is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost for the full day is $35 for members or $40 for the general public. The cost for the partial day is $30 or $35 for the general public. A variety of activites will be offered, including arts and crafts, swimming, sports, games and more.
Children should bring their own lunch, snack and drinks. The NAC will also offer a lunch of two slices of pizza for $4. For more information, visit www.newtownathletic.com.
