Excessive Heat Warning Extended Until Saturday

The National Weather Service extended the excessive heat warning until Saturday, July 23.

The National Weather Service based in Mount Holly, NJ issued an excessive heat warning for Wednesday and Thursday of this week Wednesday morning; however, the warning was extended to last until Saturday, July 23 at 8 p.m.

Heat index values are expected be near 105 degrees Thursday afternoon, 110 to 115 Friday afternoon, and betweet 105 and 110 degrees Saturday afternoon.

Peak heat index values are expected in the afternoon, with the worst conditions expected Friday afternoon.

The combination of heat humidity will create dangerous heat index values, which will occur through Saturday, according to the Weather Service's warning. Conditions at night will even remain warm and humid.
