Excessive Heat Warning For Wednesday and Thursday
The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning beginning Wednesday, July 20 at noon and lasting until Thursday, July 21 at 8 p.m.

In addition to issuing a heat advisory for Tuesday, July 19, the National Weather Service based in Mount Holly, NJ issued an excessive heat warning. The excessive heat warning, which was issued for the urban corridor from Trenton to Philadelphia to Wilmington, will go into effect Wednesday at noon and remain in effect until Thursday at 8 p.m.
The heat index values will be near 100 degrees on Wednesday afternoon and 101 to 105 degrees on Thursday afternoon.
The heat and humidity are expected to continue through at least Friday. According to the Weather Service's warning, the excessive heat warning will likely need to be extended through at least Friday with heat index values around 106 to 110 degrees in the afternoon.

An excessive heat warning indicated that a period of hot temperatures and high humidity levels is expected. The combined heat and humidity will create a hazard for those who are exposed to it for more than a short period of time.
