Excessive Heat Warning Remains in Effect Until Tonight

The National Weather Service Extended the excessive heat warning again, remaining in effect until Sunday, July 24 at 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service based in Mount Holly, NJ issued an excessive heat warning for Wednesday and Thursday of this week, extended it until Saturday, July 23 and again extending it until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24.

According to the warning, heat index values could get up to 103 degrees today. Peak heat index values are expected during the afternoon hours. 

The combination of heat humidity will create dangerous heat index values, which will occur through Sunday evening, according to the Weather Service's warning. Conditions at night will even remain warm and humid.
