First Responders Honored for Quick Actions
The heroes were honored for their actions during several recent calls.
At Wednesday's , a group of Lower Southampton’s first responders were honored for their life saving work.
officers Mark Cieslinski and Sean Dougherty, Chief Frank Walter Jr., Assistant Chief Kevin Walter, Deputy Chief David Walter and Lieutenant Joe Offiner, Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad members Medic Greg Klinieewski and EMT Steven Glynn were honored for their response to a recent call that involved a woman in cardiac arrest.
On Tuesday, October 11 at 7:44 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a home on Renee Circle, when they arrived they began providing CPR to the woman who was in full cardiac arrest. The emergency personnel continued to perform CPR on the woman from the time they arrived at her home until they arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital in Middletown.

The quick work of the first responders is credited with giving the woman several more days to live before she died.
The Feasterville Fire Company was also honored for their selfless acts of heroism during and Tropical Storm Lee.

During Irene, the volunteer fire company was in nearly constant service from noon on Friday, August 27 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday August 28.
In both storms, the firefighters responded to dozens of calls, including several where they had to rescue residents who stranded by rising flood waters.
