Joseph Ferderbar Holds Annual Math-a-Thon

Again this year, the students at held a Math-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which works to  eradicate childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.

In total, the school raised more than $8,000 for the hospital. Students completed math packets after getting friends and family member to sponsor them. 

The annual fundraiser is organized by second grade teacher Pam Conklin and is "designed to complement existing curriculums while teaching students the importance of helping others," as stated on the district's website.
