Lower Southampton, Bensalem Mosquito Spraying Slated for Tuesday

The Bucks County Department of Health will be conducting a mosquito spraying Tuesday, August 21 in Bensalem and Lower Southampton.

The Bucks County Department of Health has announced that it will be conducting a mosquito spraying, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, in Lower Southampton and Bensalem Tuesday, August 21.

In Bensalem, the spraying will take place between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. - weather permitting. The spray will be limited to the municipal building property and open air theater.

Immediately after spraying in Bensalem, Health Department officials will also be spraying the following streets in Lower Southampton Township: Sterner Mill Road between East Street Road and Philmont Avenue; Bruce Road; Fay Drive; David Drive and Ann Drive. The start time will be approximately 9 p.m., with completion by 10:30 p.m.

According to the Department of Health, the vehicles to be used will be a green 1997 Chevy pickup truck and an ATV. Both vehicles will be marked with the Bucks County Health Department logo. Additionally, there may also be a backpack ULV machine used in the woodline of the property. The chemical to be applied will be Masterline Kontrol 4-4.
